This week, if all goes well, will be devoted to just wallpapers. We have a measly collection, just over a 1000 at the moment, but we’d like to hit 2000 this week. With that being said, today we’ve added 201 sexy new female wallpapers. There are some celebrities mixed in this batch, along with some beautiful unknown women as well. We do have a celebrity’s area, but it’s difficult to just pull a few celebrity photos from a larger batch of unknown females. When we have a large batch of …
It’s finally happened, Linux successfully running on the iPhone, 3g, and first gen iPod Touch. This is the first alternative operating system available for the iPhone. This is considered a draft version, more proof of concept than anything else, but none the less quite successful and impressive. The software includes Linux 2.6 Kernel, and the bare essentials for running command line. All the iPhone goodies such as touch screen, audio, networking, and accelorometer do not have any driver support at this time.
Also the Dev Team has incorporated a slick new …
Now that 2.2 is out, most are already bored and are looking for the next big thing. Yea Google Street View is fantastic, but we are always looking for more. A few people are speculating what’s to come in the next firmware, but the folks at russianiphone.ru claim to have a fresh beta copy already in their hands. They also say they’ve found evidence of Push Notification services available in 2.2.1. In the photo below you’ll see numbered badge notifications on the calendar and notes, which would suggest these are …
Apparently Google admitted to breaking some of Apple’s rules to have the latest Google Mobile app available. A Google Spokesman confirmed Google did use undocumented APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) in order to use the iPhone’s proximity sensor. I have yet to use this app, I think its necessary at this point, but it seems the proximity sensor is used to prompt a verbal search.
Details of where Apple and Google now stand are still a bit unclear. In the past, using undocumented API’s would violate Apple’s. As of late more app …
I’ve been insanely busy with all the great new additions to the site, but I’m most excited about our newest, the iPhone wallpapers! We have over 1000 fresh and unique iPhone wallpapers that should fit most any ones wants or desires. The iPhone wallpapers are still very much a work in progress, but making great headway and expect to reach 2000 in another week or so. With Thanksgiving coming up it may be a bit difficult to keep up with that goal, but we’ll do our best! Our current launch …
Just a little something I found interesting awhile back and would like to share. The fine folks over at teehanlax.com seem to have completely replicated the iPhone GUI (Graphical User Interface) from scratch. They’ve also made this great little piece of genius available for free! It appears that every element of the iPhone GUI was precisely recreated with the utmost detail. Since its original release the team has added a few key elements like the 3G icon and confirm dialog. It’s most defiantly a must have for any serious iPhone …
While doing my usual Friday night random research I came across a sweet little Gizmodo article that was all about bacon, well sort of. They stumbled across a sweet little German shop that sells gadget cases of varying size, with one fitting the iPhone just perfectly. These replica bacon cases are apparently made of a soft unknown fabric, and sell for a whole 25 euro. With the dollar being so crummy I don’t plan on splurging for a bacon flavored iPhone case any time soon, but I can add it …
It’s been a nonstop battle between Adobe and Apple, while trying to get flash to the ever growing iPhone platform. This battle has been well documented over at theApplBlog.com, and looks like it will once again pick up speed. I personally don’t need Flash, but it would bring forth an all new level of functionality, without the need of a sometimes messy jail break.
This new found hope in seeing Flash come to the iPhone is thanks to Adobe’s announcement of an ARM-Optimized version of Flash to be ready by February …
