This battle has been well documented over at theApplBlog.com, and looks like it will once again pick up speed. I personally don’t need Flash, but it would bring forth an all new level of functionality, without the need of a sometimes messy jail break.

This new found hope in seeing Flash come to the iPhone is thanks to Adobe’s announcement of an ARM-Optimized version of Flash to be ready by February 2009. Details are still somewhat light, but by using OpenGL ES 2.0 capable hardware, and faster processors Adobe hopes to bring Flash to more portable dev ices. Adobe has made this announcement with the intensions of informing all mobile phone users, and manufactures but it seems a bit tailored to the iPhone’s hardware.

Only time will tell what this really means to the iPhone community but, with the ever expanding app store, the introduction of Flash we may tap into a whole new realm of development for mobile devices.

There’s been a ton of buzz the past few days and it seems to have stemmed from iPhone Hella’s site. They claim Apple is dropping the new update on the 21st which leaves just about 7 days till said release. If that’s true we’ll be looking at a ton of great new updates.

There’s been a ton of buzz the past few days and it seems to have stemmed from iPhone Hella’s site. They claim Apple is dropping the new update on the 21st which leaves just about 7 days till said release. If that’s true we’ll be looking at a ton of great new updates.

I don’t have any official list of sorts, but from what I’ve gathered so far it looks like we’ll see the following:

Revised look for the Safari with Google search now occupying its own space on the title bar

Japanese emoji icons

New languages

On/Off Toggle for auto-correction.

Line-in audio is activated and can be used through the headphone jack

Google Street View

Routes public transport

Walking directions

Location sharing

App Store categories updates and more …

This is by far a complete list, but as stated above, it seems to be relatively close to what we should expect.
