Dev Team brings Linux to iPhone

It’s finally happened, Linux successfully running on the iPhone, 3g, and first gen iPod Touch. This is the first alternative operating system available for the iPhone. This is considered a draft version, more proof of concept than anything else, but none the less quite successful and impressive. The software includes Linux 2.6 Kernel, and the bare essentials for running command line. All the iPhone goodies such as touch screen, audio, networking, and accelorometer do not have any driver support at this time.

First post – iPhone keyboard hack

So welcome to Just My iPhone! I’m planning on growing this into a pretty tight iPhone resource filled website … but enough about the site let’s get straight to the news!
My Japanese a bit rusty these days, so I’m not exactly sure what’s said over at moyashi.air-nifty.com but it seems they’ve taken a jailbroken iPhone and got a small keyboard hooked up and working. You can use Google to translate for you, but it tends to mess up the translation a bit so I wouldn’t rely too much on it. …
